We would love you to join us on our favourite island to celebrate us tying the knot.
Ceremony at Holy Trinity Church, Bembridge · Reception at Priory Bay Boathouse and Events Space
Just married! 🦪
Here's how Saturday 3rd July will unfold. Times are approximate on the day — but the tide waits for no one, so please don't be late for the ceremony.
Think garden party bold colour dresses, linen suits and patterns which spark joy. Dress appropriately for the church service and be mindful the reception is on a sandy/pebbly beach with some forest terrain, so please bring sensible footwear. Flats, wedges or espadrilles are your friend.
The bridesmaids will be wearing cornflower blue and sage green. The colour orange is sentimental to us, so any pop of orange would be appreciated!
We want you to be comfortable — evenings by the water can turn cool, so a light jacket or wrap for after sunset wouldn't go amiss.
Although we are hoping for good weather, we are in the UK and it can be unpredictable! The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but forecast dependent, consider bringing an umbrella — and save the swimmers for day 2!
For those travelling by car, consider the car ferries: Wightlink from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, or Red Funnel from Southampton to Cowes.
Booking ahead is worth it in July — crossings get busy in summer.
The Wightlink FastCat is the most convenient option for those travelling on foot from London. It departs from the platform at Portsmouth Harbour train station, with regular trains running there from London Waterloo. The crossing takes just 20 minutes.
Hovertravel runs regular services between Southsea, Portsmouth, and Ryde for foot passengers.
Sadly Uber has not yet reached the island, but here are a number of trusted taxi firms we use to get around.
Transport from the church to the venue is organised, but there's on-road parking outside Holy Trinity Church, Bembridge, and plenty of parking at the venue too, if you'd rather make your own way there. Please let us know if that's the plan.
We recommend booking early, as the summer season gets booked up on the Isle of Wight.
We advise staying in the Bembridge, St Helens or Seaview areas for ease of access to the wedding venues. If you have any specific questions, or would like recommendations for staying on longer on the island, we would be delighted to help!
Lots of lovely cottages and holiday lets around Bembridge, St Helens and Seaview. Click below to drag and explore the map.
We will be continuing the celebrations, very casually, at The Point, Bembridge from midday on the Sunday — our favourite coastal hangout.
For good pints, some beach games and, weather dependent, even a sea dip — please come along!
Please let us know you're coming — we can't wait to celebrate with you. We know many of you are NHS heroes shackled to the demands of rotas, but if you could let us know by March 2027 — and if you're waiting on rota confirmation, just detail this in your RSVP!
Kindly RSVP by 28th March 2027.

RSVP HereYour being there means more to us than anything else. We're not asking for gifts — but if you'd still like to give something, we'd be so grateful for a contribution towards our honeymoon instead.
Contribute to our HoneymoonWe would like you all to raise the roof with some of our favourite hymns during the ceremony.
If you need some bedtime reading (or listening) between now and the big day, please brush up on:
Anyone who's watched Wales play at the Principality will know the last one well. Warm up your voices!
For announcements nearer the day, join our WhatsApp community — the easiest way to catch last-minute updates and stay in the loop.
Join Our WhatsApp CommunityWe love your little ones, but apart from a few children in the family who have roles on the day, we've decided to keep it an adults-only occasion so everyone can properly let their hair down.
If a guest is named on your invitation, we would love to see you both there! Unfortunately, due to numbers, we're not able to extend plus ones to everyone — thank you for understanding.
It's the Isle of Wight in July, so we're hoping for sunshine but planning for all weather. The ceremony and wedding breakfast are both indoors, so bring a light layer just in case for anything outside.
Please reply by 28th March 2027 via the RSVP link above.
Please let us know via your RSVP if you have any accessibility needs, as some of the terrain can be uneven. We'll have an ATV on hand to help guests with mobility needs get around the venue.
We're having an unplugged ceremony, so we'd love for you to be fully present with us — please keep phones and cameras away during this part. We'll have a photographer and videographer capturing every moment, and we can't wait to share it all with you afterwards!
Lily & Josh will arrange taxis to collect from a pick-up point at the venue at midnight. If you'd like to make alternative arrangements to get back to your accommodation, just let us know.
Much of our weekend is right on the coast, and any swimming or sea dipping (Day 2, we're looking at you) is entirely at your own risk. Lily & Josh can't be held responsible for any injury or incident related to the sea, so please take care and use your best judgement.
